Therapy For Depression
Depression can affect how you feel, think, and relate to others. It may show up as persistent sadness, loss of interest, low energy, or a sense of disconnection from yourself and the world around you. At times, it can be difficult to put into words, or to understand why it feels so heavy.
In therapy, we work to better understand your experience of depression, including the emotional, relational, and historical factors that may contribute to it. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we explore the patterns and meanings that shape how you experience yourself and your life.
This process often involves gently approaching feelings that may have been difficult to access or express. Within a supportive and collaborative relationship, therapy can help you begin to make sense of these experiences, while also creating space for new ways of feeling and relating.
Over time, many people find that they feel more connected—to themselves, to others, and to a sense of possibility in their lives.
